MCC WORSHIP ARTS
The MCC Worship Arts Ministry exists to lead others into a heart-felt worship with our God through the arts. As leaders, we are not only “set apart” [1 Peter 2:9-10] but we strive to be the example of God’s holy presence expressed in one’s life. Those serving in the worship ministry carry the following responsibilities:
Be present and on-time and serve with passion and enthusiasm!
Grow in artistic expression, practice with focus, and execute with excellence!
Grow in our faith, prepare our hearts, and prepare our hearts with each other every time we serve!
We meet each week to “…worship Him in spirit and in truth” [John 4:24] as a family of believers. Our worship services draw us into the presence of God where we can respond to the grace given to us through Jesus Christ. We have several groups that serve throughout the year and lead others in worship.
Worship Singers is a team of individuals with gifting in the areas of vocal musicianship and spiritual leadership. This is a powerful team and one of the most influential of the musicians on stage! Our words and physical expression are such impactful tools for communicating God’s message. The appointed team rehearses on Thursday evening and ministers on selected Sunday mornings. Since spiritual leadership and vocal abilities vary from person to person, involvement will be arranged on an individual basis.
Worship Band is a team of individuals with gifting in the areas of instrumental musicianship and spiritual leadership. The group welcomes instrumental textures such as percussion, guitars, keyboards, wind instruments, and string instruments. The appointed team rehearses on Thursday evenings and ministers on Sunday mornings. Since spiritual leadership and instrumental abilities vary from person to person, involvement will be arranged on an individual basis.
Worship Tech Team is a group of individuals with gifting in the area of audio and visual technology. Though previous skill is helpful, it is not required to be a part of this team. Individuals can be trained to run the equipment. The team ministers each Sunday morning and is required to attend Sunday morning rehearsals when individually scheduled.
