John || The Abundant Life
What is this abundant life?
“Jesus calls His followers, not to a dour, lifeless, miserable, existence that squashes human potential, but to a rich, full, joyful life, one overflowing with meaningful activities under the personal favor and blessing of God and in continual fellowship with His people.”
Who is the thief? And why does He want to steal, kill, and destroy this so badly?

Why does the theif in us, the world, and our enemy, Satan, want to destroy this abundant life so much?
The abundant life is one that glorifies the one who gave everything for me and gave me life
Glorify – To live my life in such a way that makes God seem like He really is
Through the cross, Jesus had his life be stolen, killed, and destroyed so that we could have abundant life. To Jesus, this abundant life was worth dying for.
How do we live out that abundant life?
His cross = Abundant Life
Abundant Life = My Cross
Galatians 2:20 “For I am crucified with Christ, that is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
Luke 9:23 “And He said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
The abundant life is one that glorifies the one who gave everything for me and gave me life
