Hebrews 2:11-13
For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers, Saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers;in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” And again, “I will put my trust in him.”And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me.”
Sanctification – To make holy. Set apart for the sake of accomplishing God’s perfect purpose.
Ephesians 1:4-6
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
Adopted BY the Father, THROUGH the Son, TO BE conformed to the image of the Son.
