Hebrews 10:19-22
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned about caring for a church through preaching the word of God is that it is less about giving you all the right answers and more about asking the right questions, so that the Holy Spirit can lead you to The Answer.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
You are saved by grace through faith alone, but faith was never meant to stay alone. It was meant to persevere, to bear fruit. Paul and more importantly Jesus cite this perseverance and fruit bearing as what proves that someone actually is saved.
