We are so glad you are interested in participating in our Parent and Child Dedication! We look forward to partnering with you as you embark on this parenting journey. At MCC, we recognize the importance of families and the value of Children. This year on March 21st, we invite families of children two and under to participate in our Parent and Child Dedication. This service recognizes children as a gift from God and gives parents the opportunity to commit to raising Christ-centered kids alongside other parents and the congregation. The Parent and Child Dedication is on a Sunday morning allowing the community of MCC to make the commitment along side you and your family as you raise your child in Christ. At the Parent and Child Dedication, you will receive a dedication certificate that we encourage you to keep and place in your child's baby book to remember the commitment you made.

Parent and Child Dedication at MCC is not a baptism service. At MCC, we believe that baptism is meant to take place at a time when an individual makes a personal decision to follow Christ and is old enough to repent and confess of his or her sins and confess Jesus publicly.

You are not alone on this parenting journey. The McDonough Christian Children’s Ministry is here to assist and encourage you as you lead your children to Christ as their primary disciple maker. We have many community groups who would love to support and do life together with you on this journey of parenthood. Learn more about our community groups here.

Before the Parent and Child Dedication, every family needs to register by March 3rd.

We ask that you watch the videos below as well and complete the “imagine the end” card. After you register and watch the videos, we have two options for our parenting class. You can attend online via ZOOM on March 10th or in-person at the church on March 17th (childcare provided). This class is required to participate in Parent and Child Dedication. We are excited about our 2021 Parent and Child Dedication!
