Bibles

Choosing a Bible for our teens can either discourage or encourage them to read it. Here some recommended translations for teenagers, a brief description and some links to specific ones we like:

ESV | Fairly easy to read, and an accurate word for word translation. Got a girl that likes to journal? Try this one.

ESV Student Study Bible | study Bibles have additional notes, maps and thoughts to help the reader’s understanding.

NLT | A looser translation, but has a way of making confusing passages less confusing.

Jesus-Centered Bible NLT | Jesus’ word in red in the NT, words about Jesus in blue in the OT, help the reader see Jesus as the central figure and message of Scripture.

YouVersion Bible App | Students can choose from multiple Bible versions, reading plans with devotionals available to them on their mobile device, and it’s all free.
