June Sermon Series

God is a Shepherd who draws His lost sheep back to Him.  As followers of Jesus, we are called to have the same heart and become shepherds to those who have lost their way.  In Luke 15, Jesus tells us several stories about something lost, and what our response should be when we encounter lost people.

Week 1, Luke 15:1-7 – God calls us to lovingly care for and gently carry those who have wandered astray from Him.

Week 2, Luke 15:8-10 – Only diligence and reliance on God can win back those who are lost because they have been hurt.

Week 3, Luke  15:11-24 – We must patiently wait with open arms for those who have rebelled against God.

Week 4, Luke 15:25-32 – We must lovingly and winsomely plead with those who are lost due to their own self-righteousness.

Everything we do at McDonough Christian Church has one purpose: to develop devoted followers of Jesus. Our ministries are designed to REACH out and draw people closer to Christ that they may surrender their lives and enter into relationships where they continually LOVE, IMITATE, and DUPLICATE Him. We believe this best happens when people experience a relational environment of community, just as Jesus did with His own disciples.
